The Grindal-Webb Home

The Grindal-Webb Home

The graceful house at the top of the hill and nearly across from the entrance to Maple Ave. is now the home of the Webb family.  It was built around 1875 for Deacon George W. Grindal and his wife Sarah Dority Grindal, the grandparents of Jeanette Webb Greely. The date on the back of this photo is 1909 and the children in the photo are most likely Jeanette’s mother and uncle, Gennie and Albert Grindal.

For a time the Sargentville Post Office was in the ell of the home.

The date on the back of this photo of the Grindal-Webb home is 1907.
